Hello, hello! Sorry to have missed a couple days… this week I turned 26! :) Check out the birthday love I got from my cube mates…
They know I love being outside, so they went with a garden theme. Amazing, right??
Lately my breakfasts have been looking like this:
Breakfast sandwiches eaten in my car on my way to work. The most ideal place to eat the most important meal of the day? Not really, but it gets the job done and buys me some extra sleep or prep in the mornings! ;)
I’ve been finding it extremely difficult to stay inside all day with such beautiful weather we’ve been having… Which means that I find every excuse to go outside! I’ve been taking a working lunch and using my breaks to walk around our grounds, which are quite beautiful. ALSO, I’ve read that a brisk walk in the middle of a work day can significantly increase productivity. (Check out this article!)
The path around a pond we have on campus.
It feels great to be outside, get some fresh air, and move my legs in the middle of every day!
Writing a card to a deployed service member had me in this verse today:
No greater love is there than this: that one lay
down his life his friend. -John 15:13
In the verse right before this, Jesus commands his followers to love each one another as he has loved us. Phew. That’s a tall order.
Jesus displayed the utmost act of love when he gave himself up for us, becoming the object of God’s righteous anger when he took our sin upon himself. Think about that for a second. And he asks us to love other people as much as he loves us?
QUESTION OF THE DAY
How well do you feel you are loving others? (“Others” to include friends, family, enemies, the guy that cut you off, the bum on street corner, your boss, etc…)
