Hello, friends! Happy Friday! What a gorgeous Friday we have here in Chicago.
Here’s a Fab Friday heading your way: :)
FAB FRIDAY
Starbucks Green Tea Latte
I’m not a frequent Starbucks patronizer, but when I do go, I usually get the sweetest, most sugariest, would-you-like-some-coffee-with-that kind of drink. But on my most recent visit, it was recommended I try the Green Tea Latte.
Yum! I really liked it! It’s still on the sugary side, but I liked having a latte-version of one of my favorite beverages.
Bigelow Green Tea with Pomegranate
Speaking of green tea, my cube mate had me try the tea she has in her desk:
Love it! This tea is so much more fragrant and flavorful than a lot of green teas I’ve had before, and the pomegranate is a nice touch. Definitely will have to grab myself a box sometime soon!
Gym Hopping
Still being fairly new to the area (we’ve been home for five months already!), we’ve been doing a bit of gym shopping. It’s hard to settle on one since we’re still on the house hunt and don’t know exactly where we’ll be planting our stakes. But the cool thing about gyms is that they usually offer a free week (or at least couple days’!) free membership, giving you time to get a feel for the facility. We have been all over these lately. Since January, we’ve had week-long membership at three very diverse gyms! One was a cross-fit gym that we liked, and another an MMA fighting gym. It’s great seeing different ways people get moving and exercising. And it’s always fun to try out something new!
Birthdays
May is the month of birthdays in our family. Jay and I both turned 26 this year, as well as my 79 year-old grandma, and a handful of aunt and uncles! We finally decided it was time to combine birthdays, as all the celebrations where getting a little hectic. My favorite: combining my grandma’s and husband’s birthdays:
Betcha never saw a “79” and a “26” on one birthday cake before! ;-)
Bags (AKA: Corn Hole)
Now that the weather is warming up, we’ve been busting out the Baggo board. (Also known as “Bags” or “Corn Hole”).
I had always seen Bags as a hokey backyard game, but it is actually really fun! And around here, they have Baggo leagues, tournaments, and competitions. (I know…)
Our department had a happy hour at a bar nearby, and guess what they had set up inside… Baggo boards!
I had a lot of fun getting owned by Jason, (I don’t think I’ll ever catch up to his hand and eye coordination skills), but I did hold my own on this round:
I’ve never had four bags stuck in the hole before!
QUESTION OF THE DAY
What things have you been finding fabulous lately? :-)
